Policy LINK participated in a seven-day workshop convened by the African Union Commission to validate the findings of its latest report on agriculture sector performance among AU member states. The Biennial Review (BR) is the third such report to capture performance against the AU’s Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP).

The report draws on data self-reported by individual countries and then scored at the continental level to track their progress against the Malabo Declaration, the 2014 agreement that established continent-wide goals for “accelerated agricultural growth.” Findings are based on 43 indicators, seven commitments, and 23 performance categories. Policy LINK provides backbone support to the AUC to ensure achievement of the CAADP commitments by 2025.
