On September 28, 2021, Policy LINK hosted a webinar titled "An Introduction to Seed Policy in Bangladesh" with key representatives from the public and private sectors of Khulna.

The country's third-largest region, Khulna contributes some $53 billion to Bangladesh's gross domestic product, including through food processing. The Policy LINK-facilitated discussion was the first in a series of planned engagements to build and cultivate a coalition of individuals and institutions who will contribute to national- and regional-level policy formulation, implementation, and regulation processes.

The virtual event established a foundational understanding of the policy and regulations dictating seed production, research, and market promotion. Policy LINK's work in Bangladesh focuses on establishing and facilitating Centers of Excellence to improve the agricultural policy-making environment, promoting inclusive and equitable growth.
